Four International Championships in One Year. Who is Andi Wiranata?

This student, born in Jakarta in 2002, has been a high-achieving student and has received the Karya Salemba Empat scholarship since 2020. During his one year as a Wira scholarship recipient, he has made international achievements in several fields and competitions.

This geography student achieved the following championships:

  1. First Place Winner of the 2021 World Youth Invention and Innovation Awards (WYIIA)
  2. Second Place in the Environment Category at the 2021 MIICA Malaysia International Invention and Innovation Competition
  3. Second Place in the Social Science Category at the MIICA Malaysia International Invention Innovation Competition 2021
  4. Third Place Winner of the SEGi University Malaysia World Invention Competition and Exhibition 2021.

The achievements obtained in international events are the result of a long process, starting from preparing essays and participating in every competition activity.

During his time as a Karya Salemba Empat scholarship recipient, Wira participated in many positive activities that encouraged his academic and non-academic achievements, leading him to achieve international success in several championship categories.

“The KSE scholarship helps me with all my academic and non-academic activities, from helping to fund my research to ensuring that my projects run smoothly. The offline and online training I receive at KSE has given me the confidence to continue achieving great things,” he added.

The motivation to participate in the championship certainly cannot be separated from the role of parents, oneself, and the benefits for the environment, which continue to keep him enthusiastic about participating in every championship. It is evident that the several championships he has won have become a benchmark for himself to continue to develop. The training provided by KSE has undoubtedly had a positive impact on Wira’s academic and non-academic achievements. “KSE has provided a lot of training, such as time management, teamwork, and managing student organisations during the Student Scientific Week, which led to qualifying for the final stage of the PIMNAS competition,” Wira stated in an interview.

Participating in competitions and achieving international recognition is certainly a unique experience in the life of this Geography student, something that leaves a lasting impression when receiving the long-awaited medal from all the learning that has taken place so far. “Winning a gold medal at the WYIIA event held at UNY on an international scale was the most memorable experience, as it was my first time participating in an international competition and I immediately won gold,” said Wira.
