The Karya Salemba Empat Foundation (KSE), in collaboration with PT BUMA International Group and PT Bisa Ruang Nuswantara (BIRU), together with Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI), held an inspiring talk show titled “Between Education, Career, and Skills in Today’s Era” on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at the LPPM Auditorium, UPI Bandung
The event was attended by hundreds of KSE scholarship recipients from various universities across West Java. The talk show featured three main speakers: Inayatulloh Hasannudin (Alumni Community Relations, KSE), Iwan Fuad Salim (Director of PT BUMA International Group), and Prof. Dr. Prayoga Bestari, M.Si. (Director of Student Affairs, UPI). The discussion was moderated by Fikri Fauzi Ma’mur, S.Pd., Gr., M.Pd., and centered around career challenges, developing both soft and hard skills, and the vital role of students in making meaningful social contributions.
The audience showed strong enthusiasm, especially during the combined Q&A session, where students engaged directly with the speakers. Questions ranged from building resilience in the face of failure, to personal development strategies, and the essence of leadership with integrity. Mr. Inayatulloh highlighted the importance of community involvement, Mr. Iwan encouraged students to take bold steps, while Mrs. Karen Ichsan from PT BIRU emphasized the value of empathy and creating social impact.
In a special presentation, Mrs. Karen introduced BIRU’s vision as part of the BUMA Group in supporting education and sustainable development, including its CSR programs, scholarships, training initiatives, and community empowerment efforts.
The event also featured a ceremonial exchange of tokens of appreciation among KSE, PT BUMA, PT BIRU, and UPI, as well as the symbolic handover of a Giving Board from the companies to KSE BIRU scholarship recipients—marking the official launch of this strategic collaboration.
This event served as a concrete example of synergy between higher education, industry, and social institutions in nurturing young leaders who are solution-oriented, high in character, and ready to drive change for a better future.
