PT Manulife Aset Manajemen Indonesia (“MAMI”) and Karya Salemba Empat (“KSE”) provided assistance in the form of a training program to enter the world of work or called “Career Coaching”. The activity was held on June 15, 2023 at the Sampoerna Strategic Tower building on the 31st floor of Setia Budi Jakarta. Participants who attended were 13 students from 4 state universities in Jabodetaser including 3 students from the University of Indonesia, 3 students from Syarif Hidayatullah Islamic University Jakarta, 3 students from Jakarta State University and 4 students from Bogor Agricultural University. The purpose of this Career Coaching activity is to prepare and provide an overview to students about the world of work and how to prepare to enter the world of work.
Mrs. Ami Tantri as the Executive Treasurer of the Karya Salemba Empat Foundation (KSE) expressed her gratitude to PT Manulife Asset Management Indonesia which has supported the KSE scholarship program since 2016. Apart from providing scholarships, MAMI is also active in providing coaching such as Financial Literacy and Career Choaching to scholarship recipients. KSE. After remarks from Mrs. Ami, Mrs. Afifa, Director of PT Manulife Aset Manajemen Indonesia also gave the opening. Mrs. Afifa really appreciates this activity and hopes that this activity can be useful for students. Mrs. Afifa also provides motivation for students to always be enthusiastic about achieving success.
The first material was about Career Management at MAMI by Mr. Kandil Dermawan (Head of Human Resource PT. Manulife Aset Manajemen Indonesia). On this occasion, Mr. Kandil explained that a career at MAMI must have 3 visions, including continuing to develop with the leadership as professional program, becoming one through the employee engagement program and achieving broad opportunities according to aspirations with internal mobility. Mr. Kandil also explained several points about the skills that must be possessed by individuals, at the end of his presentation he said Your Job is Not yor Career, therefore be open to all opportunities that exist, Keep on growing by continuously honing your abilities.
Furthermore, the event continued with the delivery of Impressive Curriculum Vitae material. The delivery of this material was delivered by Andita as HR PT Manulife Aset Manajemen Indonesia. Before entering the core of the discussion in this material, he began the delivery of this material by explaining the fundamental difference between cv and portfolio. According to him, the difference between the two can be seen from what you want to convey, cv is more focused on work experience and education history while the portfolio is more focused on the work that has been done and one’s creative abilities.
The next event was a sharing session with Farhan Achmad Fajari, a KSE alumni who works at PT Manulife Aset Manajemen Indonesia. In this session, Farhan shared his experiences on how his career process from the beginning of his internship until now he is a staff at PT Manulife Aset Manajemen Indonesia.
The next event was a Focus Group Discussion hosted by Karvin Fadila as Trainer & Founder of SIP Management. In this session the participants were divided into several groups to further discuss cases and present them. After the focus group discussion and presentations made by the participants, Karvin explained that to be successful you must have motivation and abillity as well as mentors. After the focus group discussion session, the event ended at 16.00 WIB.
