The Loft Menara Mandiri – Jakarta (Tuesday, November 12, 2024) – PT Mandiri Sekuritas (Mandiri Sekuritas), in collaboration with the Karya Salemba Empat (KSE) Foundation, hosted the Young Investor Camp III, an educational program for KSE scholarship recipients. The event was conducted in a hybrid format, with the offline session held at The Loft Menara Mandiri and the online session attended via Zoom Meeting. A total of 75 students from 35 KSE partner state universities (PTNs), who had previously participated in Young Investor Camp II on July 18, 2024, took part in the program. This session provided in-depth financial literacy material, building on prior sessions, to further enhance the competencies of young aspiring investors in preparing for the world of investment. Additionally, the program included career management training designed to help KSE scholarship recipients prepare for a successful career trajectory.
The event began at 2:00 PM WIB, opened by the Master of Ceremony (MC), followed by welcoming remarks from Ms. Nadia Siregar, Head of Corporate Secretary and Communications at PT Mandiri Sekuritas, and Mr. Adrian Karim Januar, Donor Relations Officer at KSE.
In her speech, Ms. Nadia Siregar expressed pride in the active participation of the students in Young Investor Camp III. She emphasized that this event was part of the commitment of KSE and Mandiri Sekuritas to prepare scholarship recipients to become young investors ready to face financial challenges. She also hoped that the event would provide new insights for participants in addressing professional challenges.
Mr. Adrian Karim Januar, Executive Chairperson of the Karya Salemba Empat Foundation (KSE), highlighted the importance of Young Investor Camp III as a crucial moment to develop the financial skills of scholarship recipients. He stressed the importance of understanding investment and career planning early on so that participants could seize opportunities to achieve success in the future. Through this program, KSE aims to provide a more comprehensive foundation for students, enabling them to excel academically while being financially and professionally prepared for the challenges of the working world.
Young Investor Camp III featured two inspiring speakers. The first speaker, Mr. Indra Abriansyah, Head of Organization & People Development Department at Mandiri Sekuritas, presented on the evolution of the capital market industry from 1912 to the current digital era. He emphasized Mandiri Sekuritas' active role in every phase of transformation, establishing itself as a pioneer of online innovation in Capital Market 5.0. Mr. Indra also discussed the challenges of human resource development in the digital era, highlighting career opportunities at Mandiri Sekuritas for KSE scholarship recipients. The students demonstrated enthusiasm during the session, as reflected in the numerous questions asked, including about the skills required to build a career at Mandiri Sekuritas.
The second speaker, Mr. Muhammad Fachrizal, Relationship Officer for the Branch OLT Jakarta at Mandiri Sekuritas, delivered advanced material to enhance young investors' competencies for KSE participants. In his presentation, Mr. Fachrizal introduced Growin, Mandiri Sekuritas' stock investment application designed to simplify the process for novice investors starting their first stock investments. Growin aims to help young investors invest wisely, understand capital market mechanisms, and avoid fraudulent risks. The participants enthusiastically welcomed the session, as evidenced by the many questions raised about the application and investment tips for beginners. Mr. Fachrizal encouraged KSE participants to continually educate themselves about investing and make prudent financial decisions.
