Yayasan Karya Salemba Empat (KSE) with the support of PT Perusahaan Pengelola Aset and Give2Asia Foundation held another Face-to-Face activity at Sebelas Maret University Campus, Surakarta. The series of materials presented at this activity included "PT PPA Closer and Internship Opportunities" by Mr. Avianto Istihardjo, "Self Exploration" by Mrs. Ami Tantri, "Career Preparation" by Rendi Seftian and "Intrapreneurship Mindset" by Yudhi Kurniawan. This activity was held on December 16-17, 2023. This activity was attended by 120 KSE scholarship recipients from Sebelas Maret University (UNS), Gadjah Mada University (UGM), Diponegoro University (UNDIP), while 1 of them was a student of the University of North Sumatra (USU).
The event began with remarks from Mrs. Ami Tantri - Board Member of Karya Salemba Empat Foundation. She expressed her gratitude and thanks for the support from PT PPA which has collaborated with KSE to provide scholarships to students and training programs, especially in the field of finance and preparation for the world of work.
Second, remarks from Mr. Avianto Istihardjo - Plt. President Director of PT Perusahaan Pengelola Aset. He welcomed this activity. Mr. Avianto hoped that the cooperation between PT PPA and KSE can be even better and continue to be established so that it can provide even more benefits to students.
The third speech was delivered by Prof. Dr. Ir. Ahmad Yunus, M.S. - Acting. Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs. On this occasion, he thanked KSE for inviting him to this event. He expressed his gratitude to KSE and PT PPA for providing assistance to students both financially and soft skills. He also hoped that the KSE scholarship face-to-face activity could make UNS students more knowledgeable and have the opportunity to get to know PT PPA and internship opportunities.
In addition, the PT Perusahaan Pengelola Aset scholarship program was also symbolically handed over to the representatives of the scholarship recipients. As a token of appreciation and gratitude to the Donors and State University Partners, KSE also gave souvenirs to them. The souvenirs were given by Mr. Hengky Poerwowidagdo to Mr. Avianto Istihardjo and Prof. Dr. Ir. Ahmad Yunus, M.S.
Saturday, December 16, 2023. The presentation of the material "PT PPA Closer and Internship Opportunities" by Mr. Avianto Istihardjo, who is the Acting. President Director of PT Perudahaan Pengelola Aset explained about the establishment of PT PPA. Mr. Avianto Istihardjo also explained one of PT PPA's flagship projects which is the revitalization of Lokananta, the first recording studio in Indonesia which is now a commercial and creative hub. In addition, Mr. Avianto Istihardjo also explained that PT PPA opens internship opportunities for students who want to gain experience and work in various fields of work, such as treasury, finance & accounting, investment, law & compliance, business operations & service, and company secretariat. PPA's internship program is an opportunity for students to learn from experts in related industries.
The second presentation was continued by Ms. Ami Tantri with the theme "self-exploration". Mrs. Ami Tantri's presentation was about the importance of knowing oneself and developing positive character. Mrs. Ami Tantri divided the material into two activities, namely the first activity is to draw the side that you want others to know about yourself. The purpose of this activity is to explore one's potential and interests, as well as to know one's strengths and weaknesses. The second activity was to choose roles in family, school and society. The purpose of this activity is to determine one's vision and mission, and to give effort to oneself to achieve these goals.
Sunday, December 17, 2023. Presentation of material "Career Preparation" by Rendi Seftian as KSE IPB Alumni. Mr. Rendi Seftian presented three main sub topics. First, he discussed skills that are indispensable in the world of work, including adaptability, collaborative work, critical thinking, leadership, and analysis. Second, he provided a case study of the banking industry, describing the roles of generalists and specialists, and highlighting the strengths and weaknesses of each. Finally, Mr. Rendi Seftian provided four steps to prepare for a future career, involving self-discovery, opportunity exploration, action planning, and execution.
The next presentation was by Yudhi Kurniawan Santosa who is an alumnus of KSE UGM. He explained the concept of Cashflow Quadrant from Robert T Kiyosaki, which divides people into four categories based on their source of income: Employee, Self Employed, Business Owner, and Investor. He emphasized the importance of having a positive mindset, responsibility, and integrity at work, as well as postponing current desires for future goals. He also inspired the participants to benefit others, benefit partners, and pick up dreams together. He also explained the mindset that an entrepreneur must have, namely affirmation, responsibility integrity, communication, negotiation, and leadership.
