The BORNEO 2024 face-to-face activity was held on 27 – 28 January 2024 at Hall 1 of the Faculty of Engineering, Lambung Mangkurat University, Banjarbaru. Attended by 121 students from 3 KSE partner state universities, namely Lambung Mangkurat University, Palangkaraya University, Mulawarman University. On the first day of activities, the participants wore traditional clothing throughout the archipelago.
Starting at 09.00 WITA with the first speech by Mr. Tatan A. Taufik as Co-Founder and Supervisory Board of the Karya Salemba Empat Foundation. Mr Tatan explained that KSE had collaborated with Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) in providing scholarships from 2016 until now. And apart from providing scholarships, KSE together with donors also provides coaching programs.
The next speech was by Mr. Mohamad Burhan S. Widodo as Corporate Secretary Division Head of PT BRI Danareksa Sekuritas. The contribution of PT BRI Danareksa Sekuritas as a donor plays a big role in giving student recipients hope to prepare themselves for the future.
After the speech from PT BRI Danareksa Securities, it was continued from the Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) campus by Mr. Dr. Muhamad Rusmin Nuryadin, SE., M.Si as Deputy Chancellor III for Student and Alumni Affairs at ULM. After finishing the speeches, souvenirs were given from KSE to BRIDS and ULM.
After the opening, it was followed by providing material on "Company Profile, CSR Activities and Career Opportunities" by Mr. Mohamad Burhan S. Widodo as Corporate Secretary Division Head of PT BRI Danareksa Sekuritas. Material regarding the Company Profile of PT BRI Danareksa Sekuritas and an overview of the CSR program of PT BRI Danareksa Sekuritas. Apart from that, an overview of Management and Career Opportunities at PT BRI Danareksa Sekuritas.
The material from BRIDS was completed followed by the Talkshow session "Value KSE and Organization" by Mr. Tatan A. Taufik as Co-Founder and Supervisory Board of KSE. The material is about the history of the founding of the KSE organization and provides the values of Sharing, Networking & Developing which continue to be disseminated within the KSE organization.
The second day began with material on "Mental Health to become a Positive Person" by Dr. Karina Kalani Firdaus, SpKJ (Doctor in Department of Psychiatry). The material provided is understanding Mental Health as well as efforts to prevent depression and feelings of hopelessness and mental improvement steps to build a Positive Personality.
In the afternoon at 13.00 WITA, the material continued on "Economic Development and the Financial Services Sector" by Mirza Adityaswara as Co-Founder, Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Karya Salemba Empat Foundation and Deputy Chair of the Board of Commissioners of the Financial Services Authority as Chair of the Ethics Committee and Member of the Board of Commissioners of the Financial Services Authority. This session explains economic developments in Indonesia. After the material delivery session, the next event was giving prizes to the first 10 questioners and Mr Mirza would be given 10 E-Money cards. Next, the material from Mr. Mirza ended with a group photo.
