Exactly on 4 March 2022, an online Face-to-Face activity for Pegadaian Scholarship Recipients was held with the theme "Waste to Gold Bank Education.". PT Pegadaian itself is one of the donors of the Karya Salemba Empat "KSE" Foundation which has been working with the KSE Foundation since 2020. This activity was attended by 36 students who received Pagadaian scholarships from 6 state universities, namely Airlangga University, Brawijaya University, Gadjah Mada University, Padjadjaran University, and North Sumatra University. The total number of Face-to-Face participants was 86 students from 35 KSE partner universities ranging from Syiah Kuala University (USK) in Banda Aceh to Cenderawasih University (UNCEN) in Jayapura.
The welcoming speech was given by Mrs Rani Sofian as the Donor Relation of Karya Salemba Empat Foundation, followed by a speech from Mr Damar Latri Setiawan as the Director of Network, Operations and Sales of PT Pegadaian.
After the speeches ended, Mr Damar Latri Setiawan as Director of Network, Operations and Sales of PT Pegadaian symbolically gave a scholarship to one of the representatives of PT Pegadaian scholarship recipients, Said Fahri Assegaf from the University of North Sumatra.
This Face-to-Face activity was then continued with a Presentation of the KSE Association Waste Bank presented by Peni Anggraelin from Diponegoro University which was followed by a Presentation related to The Gade creative Lounge Activity Plan by Pegadaian Ambassador Representative Khoridah Safinatunnajah from Padjadjaran University.After the presentation was completed, this activity continued with the presentation of material by Mr Rully Yusuf as Head of the CSR Division of PT Pegadaian (Persero).
The first material presented was about Company Profile & Value Organisation and Introducing The Gade Creative Lounge PT Pegadaian (Persero). Broadly speaking, this first material discusses the history, corporate structure, business activities, products and services, corporate culture, as well as networks and outlets of PT Pegadaian (Persero). In addition, Mr Rully also explained about PT Pegadaian's The Gade Coffee & Gold Programme which has now spread to 35 points in Indonesia. The Gade Coffee & Gold was opened with the aim of; 1) increasing company awareness; 2) Attracting millennial customers; 3) attracting mass affluent segmentation customers; 4) and becoming a Pegadaian outlet service until night (including Sundays staying open).
The third material presented by Mr Rully Yusuf was related to Pegadaian's CSR & Waste to Gold Bank Programme. In this material presentation session, Mr. Rully Yusuf explained the Waste Bank programme that had been carried out by PT Pegadaian (Persero) where the Kuta Mandalika Village Waste Bank was presented as a Pilot Village for the Waste Sorting Programme from Home. In addition, Mr Rully Yusuf also shared material related to the mechanism of the waste sorting programme while saving gold run by PT Pegadaian (Persero).
These interesting materials no doubt eventually fostered curiosity for the Face-to-Face participants. This is evident from the enthusiasm of questions from participants who want to dig deeper related to the activities of The Gade Creative Lounge PT Pegadaian (Persero) and Waste to Gold Bank Management.
