PGN Leadership & Innovation Camp II 2019 was held in Cirebon on 5-8 August 2019 at the Bentani Hotel & Residence. This activity was attended by 50 students from 24 state universities throughout Indonesia. The first day of camp began with an opening ceremony which was attended by participants and invited guests. The interesting thing about this opening ceremony was that all participants and invited guests wore regional clothes that reflected the diversity of Indonesian culture.
The main focus of this training activity is looking for selected innovative products which are referred to as "Technology Champions for Indonesia". The innovative products from these champions will later be implemented in the community.
On the second day, participants carried out a judging session. Judging was divided into two classes, namely class A and class B. Class A consisted of innovation titles with the theme Energy and the Environment. Class B consists of innovation titles with the themes Food, Health and Technology Applications. Each class contains 13 innovation titles that will be assessed by a jury.
The judging process was carried out over two days. After going through a long discussion process by the judges, selected innovation products were obtained which will later be implemented in the community.
In the Energy and Environment category, Ulfa Rosyida from ITS won first place with the title Auto Drowse Detector. Continued 2nd place by Muhammad Faiesal Andhini from ULM with the title Simple Earthquake Detection Tool. Finally, Tri Puspita Roska from UNHAS won 3rd place with the title Captox Biospray: Biospray Innovation Based on Emulsifiable Starfruit Leaf Extract (Averrhoa Bilimbi in Controlling Termites and Maintaining Household Furniture.
In the Food, Health and Application of Technology category, Leni Ariani from USU won with the title Bikar Noodles. Ranked 2nd by Inten Laras Satiti from UB with the title Siper Hoper. 3rd place was Radifa Arnadi Putra from UGM with the title Indonesian Parboiling Rice
