The 3rd joint seminar with PT Mandiri Sekuritas was held by Yayasan Karya Salemba Empat (KSE). With a hybrid method where 49 students from Universitas Indonesia (UI), IPB University (IPB), Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ), UIN Syarif Hidayatullah (UINJKT) and Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa (UNTIRTA) attended offline at The Loft, Menara Mandiri, Sudirman Jakarta. Meanwhile, 124 students from 35 KSE Partner Universities attended online via zoom meeting. This activity was carried out on Friday, May 12, 2023 at 09.00-11.00 WIB. The total number of participants was 173 students.
The opening remarks for this event were delivered by Ms. Ami Tantri, Executive Treasurer of KSE. She expressed her gratitude to PT Mandiri Sekuritas for supporting the KSE scholarship program since 2020. In addition to providing scholarships, Mandiri Sekuritas also actively provides coaching such as Financial Literacy to KSE scholarship recipients. In addition to Ms. Ami, Ms. Theodora V. N. Manik, Retail Director of PT Mandiri Sekuritas also gave a closing statement at the end of the event. Ms. Theodora really appreciated this activity and hoped that this activity could be useful for students in making investments and also provide an overview in becoming a leader of an organization.
The first presentation was on Good Leadership by Ms. Nadya Siregar, Head of Corporate Secretary and Communications of PT Mandiri Sekuritas. On this occasion, Ms. Nadya explained that leadership is the art of guiding or leading others in order to achieve predetermined goals. She also explained the elements of leadership and leadership styles in the world of work.
The activity continued with the second material on Financial Management Strategies for Investing by Mr. Yulius Kurniawan, Head of Retail Sales and Distribution PT Mandiri Sekuritas. Mr. Yulius said that financial management is a science that must be owned by everyone without age limit. He also said that the formula for the key to wealth is that income must be more than expenses.
