46 (forty-six) Indofood Leadership Camp IV batch 6 students who were selected from the Indofood Leadership Camp I, II and III training and selection series were challenged again to get involved in society. After previously carrying out Positive Fighter and Social Activities in the Cibodas Community, Answerarat at the Indofood Leadership Camp II Batch 6 Training on 2-8 May 2014, this time the selected students carried out training activities, social activities and learned about work culture and company culture in tea plantations. Kertasarie Estate PT London Sumatra Tbk. Pangalengan - West Java on 5-9 September 2014.

Before carrying out training and social activities at the Tea Plantation, on September 5 2014 the students had the opportunity to undertake a Factory Visit at PT Indofood CBP Nutrition and Special Food Division in Padalarang - West Java. It was a very valuable experience for fellow BISMA students to gain direct knowledge about Work and Company Culture from Factories and Offices that produce various special products from PT Indofood such as SUN, Promina and Provita. In fact, they were also given the opportunity for discussions and questions and answers to get to know more about the production process and managerial aspects of the company in the Talkshow session. Dwi Setyo (CSR Manager Corp. Communicarion PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk.), Akhmad Dwiryanto (Factory Manager PT Indofood CBP Nutrition and Special Food Division) and Laela Khaerunnisa Eugenia (MT Manufacturing  PT Indofood CBP Nutrition and Special Food Division) were pleased to accompany the students mentioned in the Talkshow session. Laela Khaerunnisa Eugenia (MT Manufacturing  PT Indofood CBP Nutrition and Special Food Division) who is also a graduate of BISMA Batch 4, Apart from explaining the production process and work culture in the factory, she also provided an overview of the World of Work and the very valuable experience of getting training from Indofood so that you have the provisions to enter the world of work or post-campus. "Sisters are very lucky to get this kind of provision, take advantage of this opportunity to learn to gain knowledge and become people who always contribute to society," said this woman who graduated from Diponegoro University.

Activities continued at the Kertasarie Estate Tea Plantation - PT London Sumatra Tbk, Pangalengan - West Java, starting with the opening of the Indofood Leadership Camp which was marked by the wearing of participant identification cards by Werianty Setiawan (Director of PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk.) also witnessed by Arief Wanna (Deputy Chairman Karya Salemba Empat Foundation), Satriadi Indarmawan (Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Karya Salemba Empat Foundation), Stefanus Indrayana (General Manager of Corp. Communication PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk.) and the Management of Corp. Communication PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk. and the Salemba Empat Karya Foundation.

The participants were also provided with materials regarding Agri Business in general and the plantation environment and the Kertasarie Estate PT London Sumatra Tea Factory by the Assistant Managers of Kertasaire Estate Plantation. This material serves as initial knowledge and a benchmark for the participants to carry out contributory activities to the community before going directly into the surrounding community so that the activities the students design can be right on target and useful. Not to be left behind, Satriadi Indarmawan (Chair of the Supervisory Board of the Karya Salemba Empat Foundation) provided Sharing & Interactive material to students as motivation and encouragement to carry out activities that are useful and contributive to society.

It doesn't feel good if BISMA students are only given material, of course field material is also prepared so that fellow BISMA students can further strengthen their knowledge about the world of Agribusiness, Plantations and Tea Factories. The students were accompanied by staff commanded by Fadly Gunawan and Bentar (Assistant Manager of Kertasarie Estate) to gain direct knowledge in the field, seeing the process of seeding and picking tea in the tea garden. Not only that, students were also invited to see the tea production process at the factory.

To further strengthen participants' knowledge regarding the World of Work and Post-Campus Companies, the activity continued with a Talkshow session with Werianty Setiawan (Director of PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk.) and Mirza Adityaswara (Senior Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia and Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Karya Salemba Empat Foundation). In this session, students are invited to develop insight into the macro world in terms of jobs, companies and the benefits of industry for the nation's economic development. Apart from that, Werianty Setiawan and Mirza Adityaswara also shared their experiences in pursuing a career as encouragement for students to achieve their dreams and aspirations.

It only takes 2 days for the class and field materials to be provided, then 3 days is an important point for students to carry out activities that contribute to the surrounding community. BISMA students are required to create social projects that contribute to the surrounding community. By conducting surveys and discussions with several community leaders, Karang Taruna and PKK women at Kertasarie Estate, the students immediately conducted an FGD to determine the social work program that will be implemented.

As potential leaders who care about society, these BISMA students are determined to carry out 3 applicable activities in the fields of Education, Health and Community Empowerment. Apart from that, this activity was also supported by several students from the Karya Salemba Empat Foundation Program from Technology for Indonesia, namely Handsang, Briquettes, Kusagi and the People's Animal Husbandry School. To further maximize activities, BISMA students were divided into several groups according to their applicable fields. The following is the implementation of Social Activity activities that have been successfully carried out by BISMA students:

1. Education Sector

a. BISMA Reading House

Implementation of activities to build a library at one of Kertasarie Madrasyah. The books were obtained from donations from BISMA students from various campuses. By encouraging the youth and young women of Karang Taruna there to maintain and continue and develop the BISMA Reading House, BISMA students are convinced that the aim of introducing a culture of reading to the community and children can provide great benefits for the younger generation.

b. Dream Board Project and Dream List Project (Grade 6 Elementary School and 3 Middle School)

Implementation of activities in the form of motivation for grade 6 students at SDN Kertasarie 1  and grade 3 at SMP in Kertasarie Environment to be enthusiastic about learning and continuing their education to a higher level. Apart from that, BISMA students introduce students to their dreams and aspirations and give them enthusiasm to achieve them. The method of providing motivation is carried out by providing experiences and fun education and games.

2. Health and Environmental Sector

This activity was carried out targeting elementary and junior high school children in the Kertasarie Estate environment, as many as 120 elementary school students from 3 schools and 73 junior high school students in the Kertasarie Estate environment. The following is the implementation of the activities:

a. Counseling on Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS)

Conducting Fun Education with presentations on PHBS including the Dangers of smoking, Washing Hands, and Nutrition. Videos about PHBS also become an attraction for students to better understand the importance of clean and healthy living behavior. Don't forget that the BISMA students taught the song and movement "7 stages of good and correct hand washing movements"

b. Practice Good and Correct Hand Washing

After a presentation on how to wash hands properly and correctly, students were invited to practice directly the 7 movements for washing hands properly and correctly  using Handsang (Handsanitizer made from banana stems) created by a team in the field of Community Empowerment.

c. Play KUSAGI (Educational Card Game about Nutrition)

Kusagi is an innovative quartet card game that provides healthy nutrition education. This game is very easy and fun while providing knowledge to the public, especially children, to know and understand nutritional levels better. This game was accompanied and played by Kertasarie Elementary and Middle School students.

2. Health and Environmental Sector

c. People's Animal Husbandry School (Cattle Farming).

The activity is to share information with breeders regarding good care methods in terms of feed, disease, production and reproduction in livestock. BISMA students carried out socialization and practice regarding good and correct maintenance of cattle to cattle breeders in Rawasari and Gandasari Villages  Kertasarie Estate. Apart from that, they also carry out socialization and practice of making fertilizer

Compost and utilization of cow dung waste. There is great hope that this activity involving the Cattle Breeders Group can reduce cattle manure waste, improve the quality of dairy cattle products, and provide solutions to the problems of dairy farmers in the Kertasarie Estate Breeders Community.

By involving communities in the Kertasari community with BISMA activities, it is hoped that this can become a sustainable and independent activity going forward. The Social Activity Implementation activities for BISMA Students were closed with the IndoAgri Health Celebration "Free Treatment" at the Kertasarie Estate Posyandu. (noodles)
