FIB UNPAD Japanese Study Center, 8 February 2025, starting the KSE Scholarship Program Presentation Event in Greater Bandung, Julia, the recipient of the KSE Scholarship, explained the various extraordinary achievements of the KSE UNPAD, ITB and UPI students, both at the national and international levels. Apart from that, he also explained the various social activities and community development programs that had been carried out by each association to empower the surrounding community. Through this presentation, participants gained insight into the real contribution of scholarship recipients in creating a positive impact, as well as inspiring other students to continue to excel and contribute to their environment.
The Financial Literacy and Thriving in a Career or Business event continued with remarks from various stakeholders who play a role in supporting financial literacy and student career development. Welcome remarks were delivered by the Karya Salemba Empat Foundation and Tatan A. Taufik as Founder of KSE, as well as representatives from the financial industry, including Achmad Dirgantara, Head of the West Java BEI Representative Office; Joshua Tanja, Managing Director and Country Head of PT UBS Sekuritas Indonesia; and Yoga Mulya, Director of PT BNI Securities. Apart from that, Inu Isnaeni Sidiq, S.S., M.A., Ph.D., as Director of Student Affairs at Padjadjaran University, also gave a speech that emphasized the importance of collaboration between the academic world and industry in equipping students with financial and professional insights and skills that are relevant for their future.
As a form of appreciation for the dedication and support for the KSE Scholarship Program, symbolic plaques were handed over to UNPAD, UBS Securities, BNI Securities, and the Indonesian Stock Exchange. Tatan A. Taufik, as Founder of KSE, together with Hengky Poerwowidagdo, Secretary & COO of KSE, took turns handing over plaques as an expression of gratitude for their contribution in supporting the education and development of scholarship recipient students.
The Introduction to Capital Market material presented Achmad Dirgantara, Head of the West Java BEI Representative Office, who provided students with an in-depth understanding of the world of investment. Through presentations and question and answer sessions, participants were introduced to various types of investment and appropriate investment strategies. This event aims to inspire students to start investing early, understand the benefits of the capital market, and build smart financial habits for a more stable and prosperous future.
In the BIONS Introduction Material session, Zahra Savira, Retail Marketing Assistant at BNI Sekuritas, introduced BIONS as an investment application that is easy to use by students. Through presentations and question and answer sessions, participants gained an understanding of BIONS features, how to use them, and the benefits of investing through this platform. This event aims to equip students with practical investment insight and encourage them to start investing early in a safe and efficient way.
The Investment Games Seminar, hosted by Andre Tjahjamulyo, UBS Country Head Director, and his team, provided an interactive learning experience for students through stock investment simulations. In this session, participants took part in presentations, focus group discussions (FGD), and questions and answers to understand how to analyze investment in various sectors, such as infrastructure, mining, consumption, and banking, based on Indonesia's economic situation. With a strategic approach, students are invited to determine capital allocation to obtain optimal profits. Apart from increasing investment insight, this game is even more interesting with a total prize of IDR 3.5 million for the three best winning groups.
The Career in Capital Market Seminar presented Joshua Tanja, Managing Director and Country Head, and Andre Tjahjamulyo, Country Head Director, together with the UBS team to share insights about career opportunities in the investment industry. Through sharing, presentations and question and answer sessions, students get an overview of various fields of work, job descriptions and career prospects in investment companies. The speakers also emphasized that career opportunities in this sector are not limited to economics graduates, but are open to various educational backgrounds, as long as they have the relevant skills and understanding.
The Life Sharing & KSE Value Seminar presented Tatan A. Taufik, Founder of KSE, who shared experiences and insights regarding the importance of determining life goals and recognizing and implementing KSE values in life. Through sharing, presentations and question and answer sessions, students get inspiration about how Sharing, Networking, Developing can be the foundation for self-development and social contribution. This event encourages participants to better understand their potential, build meaningful connections, and apply KSE values in their personal and professional lives.
The Thriving in a Career or Business material presents Mawaddi Lubby, KSE Alumni who currently serves as City Manager at Grab, and Niki Nugraha, KSE Alumni who has experience in community development and serves as Director of PT. Vaganza International Solutions. Through sharing, presentations and question and answer sessions, this event equips students with insights and strategies to develop on professional and entrepreneurial paths. By understanding the opportunities, challenges and skills needed in the world of work and business, participants can determine a path that suits their passion and potential. Apart from that, this seminar also provides insight into the importance of building a successful mindset, facing industry dynamics, and creating opportunities for sustainable growth in a competitive era.
