On Thursday, October 31, 2024, the Karya Salemba Empat Foundation (KSE), in collaboration with PT Insight Investments Management (IIM), organized the Financial Literacy & Good Communication Skills Seminar. This seminar aimed to equip students with essential knowledge in financial management and to hone their communication skills necessary for organizational success. The event was held online via Zoom and was attended by 150 students from 35 KSE partner universities, including 12 Insight scholarship recipients for the 2024–2025 academic year.
The event commenced at 2:00 PM WIB with an opening by the MC, followed by the national anthem Indonesia Raya and the KSE March. Afterward, a brief presentation highlighted the achievements of PT Insight Investments Management (IIM) scholarship recipients and community development (Comdev) activities that showcased the positive contributions of KSE scholarship recipients in various social initiatives.
An official welcome address was delivered by Rendi Septian, Deputy Executive Chairman of KSE, representing the KSE Executive Board. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of quality education and KSE's commitment to nurturing a generation that is both tech- and financially literate. He also expressed appreciation for the collaboration between KSE and Insight.
Following this, Muhammad Isnaeni Setiawan, CSR Coordinator of PT Insight Investments Management (IIM), conveyed IIM's full support for the development of KSE scholarship recipients, aiming to prepare them to tackle financial challenges in the future. The welcoming remarks concluded with the inauguration of the Insight Scholarship Program, followed by a photo session with the scholarship recipients and Insight representatives.
The first session began with a Financial Literacy presentation by Alifah Ghina Maharani, CFP, Deputy Head of Retail Sales & Distribution Alliances at PT Insight Investments Management. This session focused on the importance of managing finances from college onward, including an introduction to the InvestasIn app as a sustainable investment solution. Students listened attentively and participated actively in the Q&A session, which lasted for an hour.
The second session featured Communication Skills, again presented by the same speaker. In this session, students gained practical insights into effective communication within organizations and received valuable tips for job interviews. This session was met with enthusiasm, with participants actively asking questions and engaging in discussions.
The seminar concluded with closing remarks from the MC, who expressed hopes that the event would provide real benefits and prepare students for their future careers and organizational roles. Many participants expressed enthusiasm and appreciation for the material presented and expressed a desire for similar events to be held again in the future.
