On March 7 2023, KSE together with PT UBS Sekuritas Indonesia carried out Financial Literacy activities which were held directly at IDX Jakarta. Participants who attended were 62 students from the University of Indonesia, Jakarta State University, Syarif Hidayatullah Islamic University Jakarta, Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University, and the Bogor Agricultural Institute. Also present were representatives from other donors, namely BNI Securities and the Indonesian Stock Exchange. Before starting the event, students were invited to view and take photos at the Indonesian Stock Exchange Gallery.
After the visit to the Stock Exchange Gallery, students were directed to the auditorium to start the Financial Literacy event. The opening of the event began with remarks from PT UBS Sekuritas Indonesia delivered by Mr Joshua Tanja as President Director of PT UBSSI, followed by remarks from the Karya Salemba Empat Foundation represented by Mrs Ami Tantri as KSE Treasurer, and remarks from BNI Sekuritas represented by Mr Yoga Mulya as Director of BNI Securities. After the speech, the event continued with the presentation of material 1 by Mrs. Ira from the Indonesian Stock Exchange, she explained about the Capital Market. Not only that, he also explained the lifestyle of generation Z and also the various types of investment that must be based on the 2 L's, namely Legal and Logic. He also discussed the capital market structure which consists of: ID Clear, IDX, and KSEI. IDX has 828 issuers and will continue to grow. He explained a lot about the capital market and in the last session he delivered a quote from Warren Buffett "Never depend on a single income. Make investment to create a second source”.
Session II was continued by Mr Andre Tjahjamuljo as Director of PT UBS Sekuritas Indonesia, he explained about a career in the Capital Markets. In this session he introduced the ranks of UBSSI staff, they explained about their portfolio until they became part of UBSSI. The event then continued with session III delivered directly by Muhammad Luthfi Permana from BNI Sekuritas. He delivered material related to BNI Securities and BIONS.
