On 11 August 2018, Yayasan Karya Salemba Empat in collaboration with Deutsche Bank Indonesia and Pustaka Bergerak held an event with the theme Engagement Day with DB: Financial Literacy and Staff Volunteering. The event was held at the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, University of Indonesia, and was attended by Karya Salemba Empat scholarship recipients, children from Rumah Belajar Paguyuban Karya Salemba Empat throughout Jabodetaser, volunteers from Deutsche Bank Indonesia, and several representatives from Pustaka Bergerak and their students.
The event began with the opening and symbolisation of the donation from Najwa Sihab represented by Deutsche Bank Indonesia to Pustaka Bergerak in the form of reading books and transportation facilities, as well as the symbolisation of the receipt of scholarship donations from Deutsche Bank Indonesia to Yayasan Karya Salemba Empat. The event continued with futsal games, games (sharing of happiness) and make a handy craft accompanied by friends of Paguyuban se-Jabodetaser, as well as story telling activities by Pustaka Bergerak, and closed with a Financial Literacy event by Deutshce Bank Indonesia.
With this event, it is hoped that the relationship between Karya Salemba Empat Foundation and its recipients and donors can continue to be established, so that the spirit of Sharing, Networking, and Developing Karya Salemba Empat Foundation will continue to flow.
