KSE Entrepreneur Academy Camp Batch 8 Year 2024 was held in Malang, East Java on May 05-13 at Same Hotel, Malang. This activity was attended by 69 participants. EA Camp Batch 8 this time was very interesting because it involved the Comdev Community to learn together. The event was opened by Mr. Hengky Poerwowidagdo as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Karya Salemba Empat. Some of the materials that participants received during the activity were “Personal and Business Coaching”, “Organizational Coaching” and “Market Research & Packaging” by Mr. Hengky Poerwowidagdo. Materials on “Mindset Strengthening”, “Entrepreneurship”, “Entrepreneur Mindset”, “Communication, Promotion & Marketing”, “Comparative Study” and “Business Plan” by Mr. Cahyana Phutut. As well as the material “Sharing with Alumni Temperature”. In this activity, the speakers shared knowledge to explore the enthusiasm of the participants in running businesses, services and food products and developing Community Development programs.

The activity began with a Talkshow “Business based on Circular Economy and Community Empowerment” by Ms. Juanita Theodora from Give2Asia and continued with “Inclusive Business Inspirational Stores” by Anggiasari Aryatie from MPR RI Expert Staff, Eko Sugeng from Cupable Coffee and Fachrul Alamsyah from Republik Gubuk. Then, it was continued with an introduction to what this camp was like, the topic and what things could be obtained from this camp. After that, proceed with attaching the participant's identity card as a symbol that the event has begun.

In the next activity, participants received material from Mr. Hengky Poerwowidagdo and Cahyana Phutut regarding “Coaching Personal Dream” for each participant. The speakers assigned a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and the participants were divided into teams according to the clusters of challenges in their efforts to achieve their dreams. Starting from the discussion of Individual Wellness, participants were asked to choose 3 main priorities in their lives.

The next day, the participants were asked to conduct market research to review the products they make and sell, starting from reviewing the packaging design, price and taste. In addition, there were also some participants who visited production houses to conduct comparative studies of their products and services. The speaker reviewed the market research activities conducted by the participants by describing their market research activities. Participants went directly to the field by choosing segmentation and target markets according to their respective programs or businesses.

Participants also shared sessions with KSE alumni who have been successful in the business world and become entrepreneurs. Each participant was divided into groups of 5-7 people, each group coaching one alumni to discuss their products and services. After this activity, participants are strengthened and motivated in their business and participants are given solutions to any problems that exist in their business, this can be applied by participants in the future.

Finally, the closing ceremony was held and attended by 69 participants and also by Karya Salemba Empat Foundation. Entrepreneur Academy Camp Batch 8 was officially closed with the release of participant tokens. With the knowledge and experience received during the Camp, it is expected that participants can further expand their business wings by establishing cooperation with as many business partners as possible.
