Muara Caffe & Space – Bandar Lampung, (Monday, November 25, 2024) The second coaching session organized by the Yayasan Karya Salemba Empat (KSE) in Lampung successfully took place, following the earlier coaching event with the KSE POLINELA Association. This time, the coaching targeted the scholarship recipients from the University of Lampung (UNILA). The purpose of the coaching was to empower and strengthen the KSE UNILA Association with a focus on fostering innovation and preserving Lampung’s cultural heritage among scholarship recipients. It is hoped that participants can enhance their creativity and collaboration while making a positive impact on the association and the wider community. A total of 42 KSE scholarship recipients attended the event, which was led by Mr. Hengky Poerwowidagdo. The program began at 10:30 AM and was filled with enthusiasm from the participants.

The first session commenced with an introduction from each KSE UNILA scholarship recipient, during which they shared their aspirations to empower and strengthen the association through innovative ideas and tangible actions that benefit the community while fostering harmony among members. Notably, some participants presented ideas for preserving Lampung’s cultural heritage, such as promoting the Lampung script and Tupping dance through the association’s work programs. With a spirit of unity, these aspirations are expected to serve as a strong foundation for building a more solid and impactful KSE UNILA Association.

The next session divided participants into groups based on their aspirations for the association. They were organized into five groups: Event, Marketing, Culture, Community Development (Comdev), and Technological Innovation. This session aimed to encourage the scholars to collaborate, exchange ideas, and create innovative solutions to strengthen the association’s role and sustainability.

Following the group discussions, each group presented the results of their deliberations to the others and received feedback and guidance from Ms. Maya Dintasari. Ms. Maya offered constructive insights for each idea and proposal presented, aiming to broaden perspectives and deepen participants’ thoughts. Each group successfully developed creative and innovative ideas, including the utilization of leachate water to generate electricity stored in batteries. This innovation received positive feedback from Mr. Hengky, who recommended submitting it to the Technology for Indonesia (TFI) program. Additionally, cultural activity innovations were highly appreciated, with Mr. Hengky encouraging their immediate implementation to support the preservation of Lampung’s culture.

Not only that, in the next session, the KSE scholarship recipients were encouraged to express their creativity by utilizing the TikTok platform to convey their ideas. The hope is that these ideas can be more widely recognized by the public, thus making a positive impact and inspiring many people.  The best video creations from each group were rewarded with prizes, along with the best yells that enlivened the event with energy and fun.

The event concluded with the awarding of prizes for the best video and cheer yells, adding a cheerful and meaningful closure to the coaching session with KSE UNILA. The KSE UNILA Association also presented a token of appreciation to the Yayasan KSE for their support and mentorship. The event ended warmly with a group photo session involving all participants and the team, wrapping up the day at 5:00 PM.
