Gaffari Ramadhan is an economist and public policy professional with over 14 years of experience in macroeconomics, monetary policy, and government. He currently serves as Executive Director of the National Economic Council of the Republic of Indonesia, a position he has held since December 2024. Gaffari’s professional background includes various strategic roles at Bank Indonesia, such as Economist in the Economic and Monetary Policy Department and Staff to the Deputy Governor. He also served as an Economist at Prospera (Indonesia–Australia Partnership Program for the Economy). Mr. Gaffari’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Indonesia, a Master of Public Administration in Economic Policy from Columbia University, and a Master of Business Administration from Boston University
