BNP Paribas Indonesia and KSE Improve Student Financial Literacy Through a Zoom Webinar

Jakarta, September 23, 2025 – The Karya Salemba Empat (KSE) Foundation, in collaboration with PT Bank BNP Paribas Indonesia, held a Financial Literacy Class as part of their ongoing collaboration to improve financial literacy and understanding among scholarship recipients. The event, held on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:40 PM WIB, was enthusiastically attended by more than one hundred participants from various KSE partner universities across Indonesia. This program is part of KSE and BNP Paribas Indonesia’s commitment to preparing a financially competent young generation ready to face future economic challenges.

The event began with an opening by the MC, followed by remarks from Ms. Sinta Setyaningsih, Secretary of the Karya Salemba Empat Foundation (KSE), who expressed her gratitude and appreciation to BNP Paribas Indonesia for its support and contribution in developing students’ financial literacy. In her remarks, she also emphasized that the ability to manage finances from an early age is an important foundation for achieving independence and prosperity in the future. The next remarks were delivered by Ms. Novitaningrum, a representative from PT Bank BNP Paribas Indonesia, who highlighted the important role of financial institutions in providing education and opening access to knowledge for the younger generation so they can make wise and sustainable financial decisions.

The first session featured Ms. Lani Mariyanti, Head of Credit Analyst at PT Bank BNP Paribas Indonesia, who presented “Financial Literacy: Saving,

Investment, and Budgeting.” In this session, participants were encouraged to understand the basics of personal financial management, such as budgeting, saving, investment knowledge, debt management, and risk management. Ms. Lani explained how individuals can build healthy financial habits through disciplined and consistent planning. She also emphasized the importance of setting financial goals early and understanding their risk profile before investing. The session was interactive, with participants sharing their experiences and asking questions about daily financial management practices.

The second session was delivered by Ms. Seskia Agil Balfas, Head of Human Resources – PT Bank BNP Paribas Indonesia, with the topic “Career Management.” In her presentation, Ms. Seskia emphasized the importance of recognizing one’s interests, talents, and potential to determine the appropriate career path. Participants were invited to explore fundamental questions such as “What do you want to do?” and “Are you ready?” as a reflection to prepare themselves for the world of work. She also shared her professional experience in the field of human resources, as well as providing tips on building self-image, work ethics, and an adaptive mentality needed in a dynamic professional world. The session concluded with a light simulation and an inspiring discussion between participants and the presenter.

The event then continued with an interactive question and answer session, where participants enthusiastically asked various questions about investing, career planning, and strategies for building strong personal finances. The discussion created a warm and in-depth learning atmosphere, strengthening students’ enthusiasm to be more aware and wise in managing their finances. The event concluded with a group photo, symbolizing the ongoing synergy and collaboration between Karya Salemba Empat and PT Bank BNP Paribas Indonesia in supporting student capacity development, both academically, financially, and professionally.
