This activity was carried out on October 28 2023, namely the inauguration of the Community Development Waste Bank which is managed by KSE UNHAS together with the community at the BTN Antara housing complex, Tamanlarea, Makassar. This inauguration activity was attended by the administrators of the Melati waste bank and also the public or customers of the waste bank.
A representative from Bank BTN also gave his speech, namely Mr. Iwan Purwanto, he expressed his gratitude to KSE and also the community for running a very good program. Bearing in mind that the waste problem is quite an important issue to be followed up on. The activities at this inauguration were opened with an opening by the MC and continued with remarks by each representative from both Bank BTN and KSE, remarks were also delivered by the representative of the management of the jasmine waste bank, namely Mrs. Laila. He expressed his gratitude to Bank BTN and also KSE for the assistance so far so that the jasmine waste bank, which had previously stopped operating due to Covid, became operational again and more and more customers joined. Activities at this inauguration also included a symbol of the inauguration in the form of cutting a ribbon in front of the jasmine waste bank building. After the cutting was completed, it was followed by seeing directly the activities of the waste bank which were taking place, in the form of weighing, recording and also ecobrick activities which were carried out directly by the children involved. live around the jasmine waste bank.
After the symbolization, it was followed by an FGD between groups consisting of the community and students. Each group was divided based on their respective topics, namely program development, marketing strategies and the creation of new programs that were still in synergy with the waste bank.
