Strengthening Financial Literacy and Career Management for KSE Beswan to Encourage Financial Independence and Professional Development

Online, Zoom Meeting – Friday, March 14, 2025 – PT Bank Panin Tbk (PaninBank) Together with Yayasan Karya Salemba Empat (KSE) Strengthen Financial Literacy and Career Management for KSE Beswan to Encourage Financial Independence and Professional Development. This activity was held online via Zoom Meeting and was attended by 100 participants from 35 (thirty-five) KSE partner State Universities (PTN). The purpose of this activity is to increase the understanding of KSE Beswan regarding financial literacy and career management so that they are able to manage their finances wisely, plan their professional future more strategically, and build financial independence.

The event opened at 14.00 WIB with the Master of Ceremony (MC), followed by singing the song Indonesia Raya and the KSE Mars. Then continued with the reading of the scholarship achievements from PaninBank delivered by Herlin Sri Wahyuni. In her presentation, she emphasized that PaninBank strongly supports and plays an active role in various KSE Foundation programs, one of which is the Garbage Collection Movement which was just implemented in February 2025. In this activity, PaninBank was present in three locations, namely Ambon, Makassar, and Banjarmasin. The next event was the Welcome Speech. The First Welcome Speech was delivered by Mr. Adam Abdalla Satria as the Community Engagement Program of the KSE Foundation, who expressed his gratitude to PaninBank for its cooperation as one of KSE’s donors since 2007. Through this program, it is hoped that KSE Beswan can be wiser in managing their finances and preparing for their professional future. “Hopefully this collaboration can continue to create independent, competitive, and ready-to-contribute KSE Beswan” – said Mr. Adam

The second speech was delivered by Mr. Jasman Ginting as Corporate Secretary of PaninBank. He expressed his gratitude to the KSE Foundation for the cooperation established in supporting students through scholarships and coaching. He also emphasized PaninBank’s commitment to improving financial literacy and career development of KSE Beswan, so that they not only receive financial assistance but also skills to face the professional world. Then continued with the symbolization of the Panin Bank scholarship program which was represented by Ernest Fisichela Adriano Andries from Sam Ratulangi University (UNSRAT).

The next event was the delivery of the first material by Mr. Welly Widjaja, as the National Sales Management Head of PaninBank. He explained that working in the banking industry is a promising career choice, with broad development opportunities for anyone, regardless of their educational background. In addition, switching careers or changing career paths is a natural thing, especially for those who want to develop and find the best potential in the world of work. He also highlighted the importance of career management, where professionals need to continue to develop skills, build networks, and take advantage of opportunities to achieve success.

The second presentation was delivered by Mrs. Lilis Prastiwi, as Human Resources Management of PaninBank. In her presentation, she discussed “Career Management to the Top”, highlighting how changes in the era affect the mindset and career preferences of generation Z. She explained that in this dynamic era, the younger generation needs to have mature career planning, flexibility in facing changes, and skills that continue to develop in order to achieve the best position in the professional world. In closing, she advised the participants to go through every process in their career like the metamorphosis of a butterfly—starting from the early stages which are full of challenges, but with patience and hard work, they will develop into a stronger person who is ready to face the world of work. Mrs. Lilis’ message closed and closed the event which ended at 16.30 WIB, ending with a photo session with all participants and speakers.
