Jakarta, July 24, 2025 – The Karya Salemba Empat (KSE) Foundation, in collaboration with Mandiri Sekuritas, successfully held a hybrid “Young Investor Camp I” on Thursday afternoon from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM WIB. The event was attended by KSE scholarship recipients from the University of Indonesia, Bogor Agricultural Institute, Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta, Jakarta State University, and Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University Banten who attended in person offline at The Loft Mandiri Sekuritas, Jakarta, and KSE scholarship recipients from 35 KSE partner universities online, as an effort to develop leadership capacity and financial literacy for the younger generation.

The event opened with remarks from Ms. Firdila Sari, Deputy Chair II of Karya Salemba Empat. In her remarks, she emphasized the importance of preparing the younger generation, particularly scholarship recipients, to face global challenges with strong leadership skills and adequate financial literacy.

After the welcoming remarks, the activity continued with the first presentation by Ms. Nadya Safira Siregar, Head of Corporate Secretary and Communication of PT Mandiri Sekuritas, which raised the theme “Becoming a Future Leader Gen Z – Are You Ready?”. In her presentation, Ms. Nadya explained the definition and characteristics of a future leader, the various challenges that Gen Z will face in the workplace and social world, as well as the key skills they need to possess. This material was delivered communicatively and raised the enthusiasm of the participants to begin to recognize their potential as future leaders.

The next session, “Investing 101: A Guidance to Get Started,” covered a basic introduction to the world of investing. Participants were introduced to the concept of stocks, trading mechanisms in the capital market, the primary objectives of investing, and the importance of developing wise investment behaviors from an early age. This material is expected to empower participants to make sound investment decisions and understand the crucial role of capital markets in economic and financial growth.
The event continued with an interactive Q&A session, giving participants the opportunity to ask questions about the material presented. The participants’ enthusiasm was evident in the various critical questions they received regarding their investment experiences and the capital market.
